is there anything i can do to increase the output on my mxr blue box?

the thing sounds great, but there is no boost at all on it.

thanks!

Actually, there is a whole LOT of boost (x470 in the first stage alone).  There just happens to be some attenuation as well.

If you find the output level is not to your liking, consider reducing the value of the two resistors labelled R16/R17 in the Tonepad ( http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=73 ) schematic to 47k or even 39k.  You will note that each of these resistors, plus the corresponding leg of the pot R20 (50k), forms an attenuator.  If the Blend pot is centred, then R16 (56k) and half of R20 (50k/2), form what is effectively an 81k "pot" turned way down.  You can turn this "pot" up by either reducing the value of the resistors (R16/R17), or by increasing the value of R20.  Come to think of it, just change R20 for a 100k linear pot, and that should solve some of your problems, since it will result in much less attenuation.
