Volume Pedal Project Wanted

I just bought a keyboard volume pedal at a thrift store for $5. All I found inside it was a pot. What could I do with it as a first project?

Make a wah pedal. There are several to choose from.

The passive volume pedals are only a pot and two jacks. Make a wah and use the enclosure to put it.

Build a Univox Unidrive and put the circuit in the wah shell

I just looked at the Tonepad Wah project. So what exactly is a wah pot, and what are the differences between them? Any special suggestions for parts?
