I found this relay kit at www.qkits.com

8 relays, with LED indicators!
What a huge headstart for that remote control unit I've been building up to.

Any comments on this kit?

Sure, ought to work fine.

It doesn't mention - are the outputs eight single relay closures? Because you really need those to be DPDT closures, not SPST or something similar.

Maybe you could replace the relays.

Of course, this solves the easy part of the problem. The hard part of the problem is how to let the guitarist pick out which relays trip when which button is pressed. The user interface is the hard part.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
