Hello... Btw, I'm going to get myself a SD-1... Can I mod it to sound like a high gain OD/Dist pedal??? Coz the stock pedal really sounds good to my ears. THe only thing that is lacking is the gain. Can this be possible??? All I need is to add just the right amount of gain while still keeping it silent of course. THanks. :)

Not a mod such as swapping components -- my favorite way of doing that to the sd-1 is adding a boost circuit after the sd-1 output, clipping to ground, and adding blends for the feedback loop clipping and the clipping to ground.

try replacing R6 and C3:

R6 4K7 -> 470 Ohm
C3 47nF -> 470nF   (680nF or 1uF if you need more bass)

You will get 10 times more gain.

I prefer a stock SD-1 anyway.

I'm gonna try these mods and see the results... I do like the sound of the stocks but somehow I need a little more gain from this thing... Thanks.  :)
