I've just finished to build the Maestro Filter S/H; after a little tweaking with the tripots, the sample/hold works ok but the filter doesn't works.

The filter pot (100K) doesn't made any change in the sound, and when te DPDT is on filter mode i hear the sound of the guitar just a little "darker" and with a little boost of volume, and in background i hear the ticking of the s/h, but not "filtered sound".
I've to tweaking again with trimpots, or they just influence the s/h section?

I used the ustomp.com layout:

Thanks!

Update:
1) IT WORKS ALSO AS A FILTER!
2) I'm just a "little" stupid  :D , i played too light and i didn't hear any variation so i thought it was not working, but if i play the chords stronger..the 70s funky is under my hands..!  :D  :D  :D

Now there is only the problem of the ticking in the background (in both modes)..it's possible to do something or not?

Thanks!

You could try to isolate the power supply to the ticking oscillator by putting a 220 ohm resistor in series, and 470mfd electro to ground at the other side of the resistor. (both rails).
OK, in the circuit I am looking at, this has already been done to the filter section, but I'm thinking, lets duplicate the process forthe other part as well.
And, maybe the ticking is picked up along the ground wiring, so make sure there is o 'common' earth wiring from the filter section and the oscillator section, separate wires to the power supply input ground.

Ok, after few days i restart to work on this pedal to eliminate ticking in bypass.

I tried to move ground wires, i rewired s/h speed pot using shorter wires, i rewired the 3PDT with the grounding effect input method, but the ticking is still present when the effect is in bypass.

Now, i would try to do what Paul Perry said, but i'm not sure for the wiring (i'm a newbie in electronic..!  :D  )..it's ok like this?

Or i've to do the same also for the negative?
Thanks!

I don't see how it can tick, if it has a true bypass switch.
I can only thik, that the ground connection from in to out  socket, by way of the PCB trace, has some curretn pulses along it (it is nothing to do with the MAX1044, that is much much higher in frequency).
If it was mine, I'd run a thick wire from the ground connector on the input jack, directly to the ground connector on the output switch.

Now, in bypass, IS SILENT!!!  :D  :D  :D

I've changed all the ground connection with a ticker cable (i used noiseless coaxial guitar cable) and also the connection from the input jack tip to the 3PDT and now the pedal works totally quiet in bypass..!

Thanks a lot!!!
