I was guessing, in my list of to-build things, there's the Micro Synth, which uses the CA3094. Since they are rare around the world (rare around the world means nearly impossible to find here in Brazil  :icon_eek:). I know I can replace it with a CA3090 with additional parts, but how I can do this? And there's another OTA that can replace it, even with aditional parts? I don't care to make a sister board for each CA3094 with it's replacement and the additional parts, but I just don't know what to use.

I would say that the LM 13700 could be used in the microsynth, by altering the pins used in the CA 3094.

No questions about LM 13600 please..................I just felt like hitting a 7!

So, if I use a CA3080, will be this the circuit to use?

And is the LM13700 totally compatible with the 3094 (just not pinout compatible)?

Marcos,
How many ca3094's do you need for the project?

Don's blog is... better than the average blog, in that it contains stuff like moog patents.

Thanks for the link.  I bought a couple of CA3280's a few decades ago, though from Don's description and pining, I guess I didn't buy enough.  Of course, the person who absolutely worships at the altar of CA3280's is Jim Patchell.  I would think he might be jonesing for them now, but on the other hand my guess is that he probably has a cardboard box full of them already. :icon_lol:

You can find his page at: http://www.oldcrows.net/~patchell/  Scroll way down for the good stuff.

If you look at the CA3280 documents at his site you will note the rather bizarre aspect of the 3280 in that it has TWO, count 'em, TWO places to connect V+.

Thanks for the links. Like RG said in the "discrete" thread, you will need somebody that really knows what they're doing if you want to make a discrete version of it. Because of this, I want to adapt the 3080 or 13700 to do the job. Arn, I will send you an e-mail.

Okay Marcos!  I will check for your email tomorrow, going home now!

Peace!
