I tried the search (also google) and looked in the faq, but couldn't find an answer to this. I have two pots that should be rated 25 (although one says 20), and the other is blank. I want to measure it with my dmm, but how? I tried the impedence setting but nothing came up. Also, could you tell me what the value of the pots affects? I.e. using a 20 instead of 25, I guess that wouldn't make a big difference but say I used a 100. Or a 10. What would happen then? Thanks

hi,
to measure the value of the pot, just set your dmm to resistance and attach it to the two outer lugs ( i hope i got your problem right ).
as i think you're building a tone stack, you should probably have a look at the tone stack calculator at www. duncanamps.com
