I am looking at building  General Guitar's "Ultra Clean Power Supply".  This is an ok power supply right? Will it be less noisy than my current cheap wall warts for my pedals?

Thanks for you input,
Jason

A cheap, noisy wall wart can be made quiet by putting a 100 ohm resistor in series with the positive leg of the supply and a 1000uF cap across the power supply.  :icon_wink:

Thanks Paul. Thanks everyone. So if I build this Ultra Clean Power Supply, my distortions and things like that wont hum like crazy when I turn them on? I have a TS-808 clone (Love that pedal) right now in my chain of effects and its powered bya cheap g-sale wallwart PS.  So when I build this good clean one it wont hum near as bad right?

Thanks,
J

If you just want a quiet supply, the Visual Sound One-Spot is excellent and inexpensive. I run five boxes from one without any hum/ noise issues. You can usually find a deal that includes the One-Spot and a 5 plug daisy chain cord for around $25.

I couldn't agree more. For the price it's hard to beat and it works like a charm.

Found one. Actually a whole box of 'em just came in at GC.
  Getting one today !!! whew...
Let you know how I like it...19.95...
Edit, got one, but need to modify it or buy and install a bunch of 9VDC jacks in metal Raco and other type boxes..I'll get to the modifying soon enough, then if it's working for me I'll maybe try installing jacks in all the stuff.
