Hello DIYers !

** I'm a Beginner ! **

I'm struggling for 3 days on the wiring of this 3PDT PCB board, I followed numbers of tutorials and tried to match the wiring Kevin Mitchell (on this forum) gave me a month back but it doesn't work and I feel I need some help to finish this project.

Board : Neutron from GGG (Mu-Tron III clone)
3PDT PCB board : Musikding (see image below)

Here are the informations from musikding :

Here is the wiring KM gave me :

If you could help me figure out how to wire correctly this 3PDT switch, it would be very helpfull for me  ;D

Cheers,

Papaya

I pressume you wish to wire a 3PDT switch without respective board (like in Musikding), right..??  :icon_wink:

Without knowing anything about particular circuit and considering PCB IN is GAIN pot middle lug and also PCB OUT is left 2PDT switch blue wire plus cap+resistor, Kevin's wiring seems to be true and correct..
(of course, Input and  - maybe - output aren't grounded when effect is bypassed so the whole p[roject might be prone to popping..)

No :D I would like to use the 3PDT PCB board (+ a 3pdt switch) to wire this project instead of just a 3pdt switch, but when I use the board and follow the wiring that KM gave me, it doesn't work, I thinks I have to adapte the wiring I do on the 3pdt board to match its corresponding wiring without the board (KM wiring), and I'm struggling on that part

have you tested the circuit board to see if it is actually working, before adding the 3pdt?

Yes I tried with the wiring KM gave me, without the 3pdt board, just the 3pdt switch and it works great !

Does this help..??

Thanks but no xD
Maybe I'm not expressing myself right (my english is far from perfect).

What I would like to do is find the good wiring to make with the 3pdt board to work with the wiring KM gave me, because when I use the one KM gave me and using the 3pdt board it doesn't work, so I need (if possible) a drawing with the pdt board.
Kind of the same drawing we can find on the document from musikding but adapted for this project wiring (KM one)

why not wire it as per the diagram, and lose the 3pdt board.....

then it has to work.....

edit: the 3pdt board looks like a standard wiring setup....whereas the wiring for the circuit isnt...

so dont use the 3pdt board...

unless im missing something here?...

I agree with Rob.  If you tried Kevin's wiring and it worked, then why do you want to use the small board for the footswitch?  It's unnecessary.  And if you ever make a mistake with these boards, then you'll find it impossible to de-solder without destroying the switch.

^yup..i never use those boards. for that reason.  :)

and if i did they would have to grounded in/out on bypass...if...a very big if i did..which i wouldnt :icon_mrgreen:

Ok then I will not use the board ^^

I found it to be a cleaner wiring with those but if you say that it is better not to use them I'll follow your advice.

Thanks

Hi,

If you really want to use your pcb, try this:

I added where you should plug the colored wires on your pcb.
However, if you already have a working solution...

Cheers

Thank you very much, I'll try this and let you know if it works  ;D
