Hey everyone!

I have an old SLVO volume pedal with a 1/8" jack for the a/c adaptor. Is the polarity the same on this type of pedal in comparison with the newer style pedals that use the "boss-style" power inputs?

Also, does anyone know the current requirements of this pedal?

TIA,

It's more than likely tip + sleve-
I'm not sure of the current requirement.

Mini phone plugs are ALWAYS tip=pos, because there is no other physical way of switching the internal battery off.  In my life I have never seen a phone-plug equipped adaptor that used any other scheme, whetherfor a calculator (in the good old days), for a vibrating neck massager, or a pedal.

Thanks to those above for the posting.

I figured it would be a + tip, as I went traced through the guts and found that to be the possible case, but wanted to make sure!

I'm thinking that with only two LEDs in there, plus a few resistors, the current draw shouldn't be that much...

Now to add true bypass (I know, its a VOLUME PEDAL, but still... if it takes power and my pedl board dies...).

Thanks again,
