I just got some Ge trannies from the radio-shack around the corner; he found them "somewhere". I think a couple of them are broken / bad / not working, but I want to be sure. They are 2N1305 btw (PNP Ge).

I have the trannie checker as mentioned here and with most I measure the same voltage as the battery; pressing the switch does nothing.

So I guess they are broken. Am I right?

What are the voltage (or gain) results of those who are "good"?

If they are broken, you can still use them as Ge diodes I guess.

Rules apply only for those who are not allowed to break them

The good ones had a leakage of approx 170
