Don't forget that Mr Li on the outskirts of Beijing has about 1000 3080s in some dusty old box that he got for 20 yuan.  Only kidding, but these things ARE still around.  Our Oz version of the Shack (Dick Smith) only cleaned out their supply about 6-12 months ago.  

PS Mr Li's friend has NOS GE 12AX7s for US$12 each, and EL84s for $15.  I know cos I bought some (and some russian EL84s for US$4).  The hard part was the language barrier and the inscrutable Chinese bartering.  I still had the feeling that he was making a fortune (somehow!!).
