Hi everyone,
I've searched and I can't find any reference to this.  I'd like to build the ruby for use with a bass instead of a guitar.   What changes would be necessary (if any), cap changes?

Thanks for your help!

Go to runoffgroove.com and do the bassman mods listed on the page for the ruby.  The key thing isn't necessarily those mods so much as making sure you grab a speaker that can handle bass.

No problem.  Bass players don't get much help on here due to the fact that the majority of us are guitarists.  But my brother is a bassist, so I know a good deal about it.

I have done the mods for the "bassman" ruby and have built one plain.  It really does change it by making it cleaner.  But I do agree that the speaker seems the help the most.  The normal one sounds like rock to me, while the bassman mods sounds clean and a bit heavy (I like the bassman better).  Try lots of different speakers.
