Hi! well, just completed my first project, I wanted a clean boost FX and an overdrive that would give me a nice early valve breakup sound..so I made an Orange Squeezer compressor and a DOD 250 (grey). The DOD sounded just right but the compressor made too much of a noticeable click. It worked fine but a bit hissy - perhaps the power source, so I took it out and replaced it with a LPB2 booster...Perfect!!!! Both FX's are in the one box, with a DC supply...

Lessons?
1. Dont put too much heat on a 3PDT switch or solder/unsolder wires from them too often - this caused a switching upset fixed by a new switch...
2. If you're going for a consistant knob look (and who isnt?), check your pots have matching shaft measurements. Two of my three (old pots) had larger diameter shafts than the knobs would take.
3. Use a regulated, well filtered power supply. Cant stress this enough!! My compressor made an awful noise caused by a P.O.S. supply.

Thats about it, am looking at doing the EA Improved Tremolo next....

Cheers,
Glenn

Oh yeah, found out from this forum that my BOSS power supply, an eighties ACA adapter is unregulated...so will use that only for that pedal..
