Hi all,

I want to test out one on my bass; I got the schematic from here and I have some Q's:

A: What kind of voltage does it want?
B: the 2M pot: lin or log

Thanks!

..oh..I dont know the american zenerdiods, but if 1N9608 is a 9,6v zener, that would be 9volt after the 2N3568..just us a 9volt battery..
and I would guess a "lin" pot would be best in that possition..

I have that same schematic in my gallery, byt with higher resolution,if you need it..

I've run mine with a 9v battery all these years (proud user since 1979).  Of course I can get away with it because I don't gig and use it infrequently.  If I needed to be absolutely certain that it wouldn't crap out on me during the third set that night, the AC supply or a wallwart equivalent is recommended.

The 2M pot doesn't HAVE to be 2M.  Keep in mind that the highest resistances provide the least drive in this application.  I suppose it can always be the case that some people want just the slightest hint of coloration (hence, NEED a 2M pot), but I imagine 95% of all users would be perfectly happy with a pot of 500k and sometimes less.

OK, thanks all!
