ROG EA TREMOLO

Hi, I have built this pedal following this schematics: http://www.runoffgroove.com/eatremolo.html
On clean sounds it is a great pedal, it has a very beautiful vintage sound, but on the distorted/hi-gain ones it's so strange...the depth seems not to work well. I have tried to decrease the 68k resistor but the problem stays.... you have noticed this thing? How could I solve it? Thanks to rog and to all!

If you use much distortion at all you need to run it in front  of the Trem not after..

Bias the MOSFET stage.
