photo-resist etching - a word of warning

I've mentioned a couple of times that I exposed my photo-sensitive boards through regular 80-grams sheets of paper, printed with a deskjet. Works a treat, as long as you're not into really, really thin tracks.
But: I've just attempted a buch of boards, and they did not work at all. Took me some time to figure out, but it's the paper! My supplier has switched brands, and this paper is much more dense to UV. On top of that, I've had my cartidges refilled, and the new ink is more transparent to UV (as I found out when reverting to transparancies).

So, this method is a nice, cheap and quick alternative to transparencies, just experiment a bit on scraps to make sure your particular brand of paper works, and use original cartridges to make sure. Then stick to exactly that brand...

I use tracing paper and have had the same problem when the paper ages.  Keep it fresh!
