Ok, guys,

I got the chips this week and installed one. I had some freaky shivers since when I plugged the MN3207 out and the other in I had the same bypass sound as was the effect off. With a little touching I had clicks and blops so the circuit itself wasn't bypassed.
I thought I wasted my money allready on electroshocking the BBD chips somehow...

However my non-logic debugging soul came on time with the idea of turning the chip once the other way (opposite of orientation of all other chips :icon_eek:) and it worked like charm!
Man! What a difference. Real good jetting as a mather of fact with regen on zero. Of course it is more noticeable on distorted signals and humbuckers.
With regen and manual on full you still get a nice Envelope filter like effect. Ok, no fantastic chorus (wasn't perfect either before), but it's a flanger right?

And I haven't even installed a rail-to-rail chip in the LFO section yet...wow...
Must test that too....

A nice mod. Just get hold of a MN3204!

Good to see things are going smooth.

Now you have raised the stock value of the MN3204's  :icon_lol:

Please keep us informed how you do with the LFO mod.

Of course, the fact you desolder the stock chip and place a 8-pin socket in is always a good thing, whatever chip you try.
And yes, I did not alter the regen cap. It seems as a second-choice mod to me in order not to get a hard to find chip.
Regeneration was born as a way to make your effect more drastic they say...

Well, I still have one, so raising it won't harm ...  :icon_redface: :icon_lol:

Yeah, LFO mod...
The problem is there are good unexpensive chips around, but there is always that crappy minimum order stepping stone...
I have to wait until I have a reason to spread the cash. "Won't take thàt long..." a voice in the distance shouted...  :icon_mrgreen:

Basically if you have an extra IC, you can consider doing the mod for someone else so as to absorb the cost of YOUR mod.

I ordered some TLC2262's as free samples from Texas Instruments when I heard they were required for the Sans Amp GT-2 and they were rail-to-rail opamps, so I wanted to give them a try for other purposes as well.

Steben

So the sansamp works on these beast aye?
I ordered 2262's and 2252's. I wonder... do they clip nicely?
