i was wondering...

i keep reading about how the crash sync has this octave down effect at some point on one of the pots.   would it be possible to measure the resistance at this point and wire a resistor of that value to a toggle?  the point being to bypass the variable resistor to go straight to the octave sound and then back to another?

sure thing aaron, just find the spot in the pots rotation that this happens, then without moving the pot cut the wires (faster than un-solderin' 'em) then measure the resistance then get yourself a resister that matches.
when I say "matches" I mean as close as possible, preferably a 100% match, depending on how sensitive that setting is you may have to use a couple of resisters to get that "match" but it should be possible.
when you find the "match"-ing value just wire up a dpdt toggle that takes the pot out and puts the set value resister or resisters in and................ desired effect shall ensue!
