true bypass switch/rat 2

i'm making a rat clone using a stripboard layout and schematic i have. I have one question though, the diagram shoes 3 connections which come off the input jack, am i to assume that this is a stereo input to switch the battery on/off?
also, where is it normal for all the connections to be made from the switch to the circuit/input/output jacks, and where can i buy the necessary switch in the uk?

also, on the rat front, is it necesary to use a led? the schem i have doesnt have one.

on an unrelated question, if a diagram is designed for +15v, and i adapt it to run on +9v, will i have to change the distortion pot over the op amp?
