What kind of power does a whammy 4 use? Someon told me its AC but i cant confirm this.

And if its AC, can i convert it to DC power?

99% sure it's AC, and i'd get one from the maker, 28 bucks i think.

It is 9V AC. I can't imagine that converting it to run on DC would be either easy or practical.

It uses a 9v 1.3amp power supply! And as Tom mentioned you can get it from the manufacturer.

You don't have to buy the Digitech supply.  That said, the Digitech supply is reasonably priced.
