Hey,

Was in the studio last night and had chance to mess with a line 6 pod, The fuzz box setting is the exact sound I'm looking for in a pedal, how does the pod make this sound, analog or digital, and how easy would it be to copy? (Anyone got a schematic or links to anything on the subject...)

Modelling a POD would be a virtualy impossible without serious amounts of skill, tools and money!  The POD's work is all digital then converted back to audio.

Why not build a version of the fuzz that the POD is modelling? prob a muff or fuzzface?  says in the manual what each model are.

Ah ok, just was I really liked the sound of it, was really over the top and loads of sustain.

I've built a GE Fuzz, not to my liking tho, and I'm working on an axis face, which I'm still waiting for a couple of parts for... damn christmas post!

Hopefully it will be good.

Did you see what that setting was emulating? Thier manuals are pretty cool and tell you what each setting is emulating.

It's a Fuzzface emulation, plus a bonus tone control. Doesn't sound much like my DIY Ge Fuzzface, though. And the feel is WAY different.

I suggest you try one of Gus' Si FF based designs.

Also, bear in mind that the Line 6 setting is a Fuzz Face through an amp, not just the pedal alone.
