Loopbone Radial

I was wondering if there is anything in the diy community that is like the Radial Loopbone. http://www.tonebone.com/tbone-loopbone.htm What kind of issues or problems would you come across if you try to build a two or three effect loop pedal with a tuner option, with out active electronics in it, just simple ins and outs, switchs and a led and battery? Are you going to incounter ground loops? I have a Son of Screamer (awesome pedal thanks Jack), Fab Tone, and a blues breaker (GGG) and I want to switch between the three. What can I do or build?
