I've finally find 2 germanium transistor from an old mic booster.
AC121 AC151 as it is named on it !!!
I'm searching for good sounding fuzzlike schematic but i can't really find one with those numbers.
They have 149 hfe and the other one have 196 hfe i think it could be nice and warm fuzz with quite good gain ?
Please if know well about germanium's it would help...
Bonne journée

  Here's a good one.
  Should work good.
FF's sound depends on alot of things, transistors near or top of list, leakage, and gain are the two primary values to consider.
For Q1 less than 150 is a good round number, Q2 can be higher, what you'd have there I think is a high gain FF, should work good.
For future sound options socket the transistors [also prevents overheating them], and watch the heat or use heat sinks when removing the transistors from the board they were in. :)

the project axis fuzz seems to work only with npn germanium transistor isn't it ?
Mine are PNP ! Should i just reverse capacitors to make it work ?

  Whoops...you must observe polarities
Electrolytics, diodes, and batteries have polaritieS.
Also, starting with a PNP POS Gnd. FF schematic is a good idea.
There are plenty of good FF schemaitcs around, GGG has most all of them, socket input/output cap and transistors may be a great idea for figureing out what a FF can do.
Be certain you've identified the emitter, this way the transistor can be oriented correctly like..all the time.  [I just use grab bag Si Pnp's till I get the FF 'firing', then put in the precious ones].

i ve done with silicon and germanium for the second stage it's quite good but where could i but good sounding germanium diodes ?
thanx again peter

There are diodes in the transistors. I think FF sounds great using them alone for clipping.
More diodes for a different clipping sound?...see Aron Nelson's Lava Rim schematic.I used a 6 pin IC socket for doing diode swaps.
