Anything I should get while in England? (Hard to get in Australia preferably?)

Alright, I'll have to make this a quick as I don't have much time on the internet. But I'm in England for about the next 4 weeks, and I'm sure there are many useful parts that are hard to get in Australia, I don't want to go spending too much money but maybe there are simple transistors that are quite cheap that we just don't get in Australia. I don't really want to go on a huge hunt for germanium transistors, I may pick up a few but I'm not that in to fuzzes.. maybe a few AC128's if they can be found?

Anyway, thanks for any advice anyone is able to give me,
Robbie.

While you are in england, get him to deliver them to where you are staying. £3.60 for a Pair of matched gain AC125's. Shipping is a pound I think. Even has OA90 + 1N60 germ diodes for a great price.

I can vouch for his service, fast delivery, products as stated.

No idea about getting stuff locally in oxford, I live in the largest city in Scotland, I cant even source good rare parts on the streets.

Thanks for that Nelson :D
And hopefully some Australians, who have looked in to this, might be able to tell me whether I'd be better off looking for some PnP sheets while I'm here instead of getting them in Aus.

Paul Perry (Frostwave)

PnP is $A 31.50 for 5 sheets here in Oz, if that helps you! I think (judging from about a million posts here) that you would be better experimenting to find what is the best "photo quality" laser printer or magazine paper to use instead.
Cheapest (for an Australian) is probably getting it from SmallBear mailorder, US $9 for 5 sheets, plus postage. Cheapest I can se in the UK is a guy selling on ebay just over 1/2 Maplin's UKP 14.95  for 5 sheets:icon_eek:

Hard to find? Possibly, if you don't mind paying an arm and a leg for it (Cricklewood Electronics), but I don't think you're going to find much over here that's a bargain.
