Pedalboard "level matching" Q ..

I got hold of a little "pedaltrain Jr" for myself at xmas and have just wired it up.
At the moment, the "DIY" count is low ... I need to fit some 9v sockets !! so here's the
setup :
Gtr - Crybaby w/RM board/true bypass ( on floor ) - Comp - TS-9 (DIY) - DS-1 (mod) - Boss PQ4 -
Dano vibrato - Pearl Chorus - Aria flanger - Kay Trem (DIY) - schaller volume ( on floor )
and last a Boss DM2.
All powered from either a Boss RPW7 and a One Spot with daisy chain.
I have "zero" hum/noise problems so far and I'm using George L's cables throughout.

I've been matching "bypass" level with "engaged" level on the whole board ( where possible ) so
I'm not boosting very much at all.
However, when either the TS or DS1 are engaged, both the Chorus/Flanger are "breaking up"
internally ? ( it's not just the TS/DS OD that's the problem )
What's the best way to get around this, or do I just try combo's til it works well ?
Perhaps the Pearl/Aria are just too sensitive in that position, but it's the way i want them and
seems a standard "order"  .. !
Also, as the DM2 is last in the chain and is "buffered" would I need a buffer to run the longish
cable to the amp here ? .... when it's NOT engaged ...

Thanks for any tips/comments
Marty.

  >Are you running boosted distortion into phase? Changing the order to phase into fuzz...might help...but of course sounds different.

I believe the buffer is in the signal path when the effect is bypassed, so additional buffering would be duplicative/not needed.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks Pete, what I mean is that the TS/DS are not boosting and are set to be about
equal to bypass, but the chorus/flanger STILL break up when engaged, so are seeing too
much at their input !!
.... ?
