Yes, the newer ones are true bypass. I just bought a Small Clone the other day, and based off of the harmony central reviews, it looks like the build quality has been upgraded as well. The foot switch feels very heavy duty, and is chassis mounted as well as the rate pot, depth switch, and jacks. The jacks look, and feel to be very high quality as well.
I have read that the case is made of thin, weak aluminum, but mine feels very strong. I wonder if they are made of steel now?

At any rate, this is my first chorus pedal, and probably the last because of the awesome sounds it makes.  8)

Hope that helps!  ;D

I have one ...and it's not true bypass. I sypposse you have to hear it before you buy it ...or buy it and mod it! 8)

The new small clones are 100% true bypass. I have mine open right now and it uses the blue 3PDT we all use, and the depth switch and jacks are ALPHA brandname. The only issue with the new small clones are the battery jacks. I have had two people come to me and ask for them to be replaced (the posts on them ripped off the wire, but the guys grabbed the wire not the black post section when taking off the battery). I love this pedal!! I use it whenever i play and it has never let me down, and I doubt it ever will.
