I'm making a Big Muff Pi clone in a wah shell for a buddy of mine.  He wants the footpedal to control the dry/effect mix so that when the pedal is all the way forward you get full big muff and all the way back is effectively the bypass.

There are two circuits that I've found that will do what I want, Runoffgroove's Splitter Blender
http://www.runoffgroove.com/splitter-blend.html

and General Guitar Gadget's mini mixer:

The Runoffgroove project looks good and would give me the option of using one of the channels as an optional "effects loop."

The mini mixer would require a dual pot, but there is Torchy's vero layout, so it would be easier for me to build, and just has fewer components in general.

Anyone have any opinions on which might work better or might have hidden drawbacks I haven't seen yet?

Perhaps this would work :
Use a "dual ganged 100k" pot for the sustain ( fuzz ) pot.
One side wired as normal, lug 3 from Q1 C lug 2 to next Q connection and lug 1 ground.
Wire the other half of the pot in reverse, and like a variable resistor, lug 1 from Q1 C and
lugs 2&3 to Q4's cap at base, so when pedal is "toe down" its full Muff and when its
"heel down" you're at minimum "fuzz" and bypassing Q2&Q3 direct to Q4 & output, which should be clean.
I think Q4 is just tone stack volume recovery ...?
Something along these lines would work ... off the top of my head !!
If anyone else has a better suggestion/improvement .. ?
Marty.

Splitter Blend benefitted IMCase by having 18v supply, however I'm pretty sure 12v could handle the peaks, 9v a little bit of unwanted artifacts or clipping was noticed, when something like the BMP [which is in the same 'panel' housing as the Wah And Splitter Blend...[8'' x 1.5'' x 18''].
The middle position [mixed] is a little lower volume than either extreme. When on a pedal control the mixer allows mixing of the two signal proportionally, but I had to 'find' 10 oclock or 2 oclock for unity mixes, 12 oclock has a slight dip of volume.
Someone elses were typing about this, I don't remember seeing a solution, I find it's not really a 'problem', just a slight glitch that is easily enough worked with by simply adjusting the pedal and sweeping past the center position for a desired mix or either side. Might not be the precise panning that a certain one would want, but OTOH, the slight dip, then 'roll on' of volume treadling the pedal produces is pretty cool in itself, and again allows EZ/precise control of mix.
