HI,

One of our guys is leaving in a few weeks and we need to replace him, please email me if you are interested in working here. Send info on your experience and where you live, we are in Danbury CT so someone local would be best.

thanks!!!

I can't help you on the local level, but if you are looking for someone to do 'ghost builds' or the like I can refer you to a few of my contractors.

Thanks,
Brian

Actually, a quick thought -- I have 6000+ subscribers on my newsletter list - I can mention the fact that you are looking for someone if you'd like.

Thanks,
Brian

Now if you were attempting to base some of your operation in Europe (which could be attractive from a logistics perspective) I'd consider. Otherwise I guess you won't pay travel expenses for someone showing up late every day ;)

I'm (and I guess we all are) curious who's going to be the new hire.
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

thanks for the replies, maybe I should move to Europe for a few years but have to wait a few till my Daughter is in college.

Don't want to be a spammer so please dont email that we are looking for help. I know a lot of good techs are on this board but very few in my area :(

thanks!

I would love to do something like that, I think. Problem is that I live in Las Vegas and I probably make too much money at my engineering job to compare. But, I would love to live there where it's green, assuming I had the qualifications...  :icon_confused:

We pass on about 5-10 repair requests a day, because we don't have the manpower or time for general repairs. If we had a good tech here we could take those on and pay him well. But not as much as you would make for microsoft  ;)

How far is CT from Toronto, Ontario?
I would be interested in helping out anyway I could. Seriously.

Mike - could some of this repair work be farmed out via UPS/courier for the short term ? I think a few guys on the board would be able to do it (accepting there'd be a postal/courier delay) ...

Just a thought  :icon_wink:

We do have several outside workers who do specific projects (chorus boards, King of Tone assembly, Bicomp building). But repairs would have to be done here to keep under control and in time. We need someone new here soon to handle day to day building, mods, repairs, final testing, and lending a hand in shipping and phone support. A two headed octopus would be good!

Too bad I'm not there, this is what I do....anyway....
I have one customer here, who is extremely picky, critical...just knows too much to ever be 'easy', and is NEVER Satisfied for more than a little while, every single circuit needs modded, modded back and forth etc. [Me].

I could do it over the summer if I could get a ride from bridgeport...I'm like 10 min away from port jeff, and know someone who can hook me up with free ferry tickets :-D.

Jeez! Why weren't you looking for help when I lived in Fairfield?
