I was looking for a dead wah to buy, and I stumbled across one - a "Crybaby Classic". I got it for $20 plus shipping. The seller said that it didn't work, but when I got it, I plugged it in and it worked just fine! I did notice some cracked solder joints at the input jack, which may have worked intermittently or something. Anyhow, I reflowed those solder joints and it works great. I put a different circuit in the shell, which was my intent. But I do have another GCB-95 PCB for experimentation...

So, my point is once you know how these things work, there's only a few things that could be the problem and they are simple to fix. Deals like this don't come along every day, but it's sweet when they do!  :icon_wink:

Big agreement on that.  I've bought two GCB-100's in the last couple of months.  They routinely go for $20-25 dollars.  One of them looks and feels like new, the other needs some TLC, but both are very usable.

One thing I've noticed about Crybabys and eBay, sometimes auction bidding will get unreasonably high.  Other times not.  There's no rhyme or reason to it that I can figure out.  Basically, if it get's above $25, I stop bidding.   :)

the pot's rotation range was set incorrectly, otherwise it worked great.

Yeah, sometimes ebay is actually a good thing.  :icon_wink:
