I have a few of each that I would like to use to isolate two signals in a splitter box. Anyone have any experience with these chips?

What I am thinking of doing specifically is using it in a wah pedal to isolate the pot. I'm not quite sure how to wire it up for an audio circuit, though...  :icon_confused:

Well, I'm going to fiddle around with it some. If I come up with something useful, I let y'all know.  :icon_cool:

I believe that those are phototransistor outputs, not linear outputs. They'll work OK as switches, but not as linear variables unless you do some complex stuff.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hmm... this old time tube/HAM radio guy I work with suggested using this chip sort of like an optoisolator. I guess that's not really pratical? I'll have to discuss this with him further.  :icon_cool:
