Think this could work? (PA03 opamp)

I found this while strolling through diyaudio forums and wondered if it could be used as a power amp for a guitar/bass.  If I read correctly, it would give 500wRMS!

it looks like it could work, but your power supply would need an ungodly transformer...

150 volts / 1.4 =(roughly) 107 VAC CT off of your secondary

500 watts * 1.8 = 900 watt power supply

900 / 107 =(roughly) 8.5 amperes

your power supply to fit their recommended applications is about 107 volts AC at 8.5 amperes. that is a huge amount of power. i imagine you could find one / get one custom made, but it's still a ton of power.

definately a cool chip, though... a 500 watt guitar amp appeals to my baser instincts  :icon_twisted:

btw, if anyone dislikes my mathematics, feel free to correct me. i'm still kinda new here...
