Hi gain dist DIY pedal , too many to choose from, help.....

I just built the Shredmaster, and wow! 
Very hi gain, kinda like a BSIAB but with more gain, more versatility, can give a mean scooped mids sound.
You probably can't do anything softer than hard rock or metal with it.
I'm hoping to spend a lot more time on this one (just finished it)

I can't use half the gain the BSIAB provides. It is WAY too much for me (all J201's though). I think a good metal tone requires an extremely well tailored pre-gain eq and half the gain you would expect
