Just finished a few pedals and although they came out looking great is there a methind to buff a pedal to shine it up a bit and get rid of some scratches ?? I'm using about 10 - 15 coats of Krylon clear, wet sanding between every 3 coats.

I know nothing about buffing so treat me like I know nothing ;) ...

Try automotive products intended for buffing/polishing. Dupont #7 comes to mind. There are a ton of products to remove light scratches and swirl marks.
Auto supply stores have smallish buffing wheels you can attach to a power drill. You can use this with the different compounds, but get a separate wheel for each grade of compound.

Oh, btw, be sure the finish is fully cured before you start buffing-up to 30 days for some material.

stew mac has a little tutorial on buffing basics. though it is written for instruments, it's still the same "buffing".

I did a DIY guitar a few years ago and I did a black base/clear job and I wetsanded with 600, then up to 1000, then finished with 1500 or 2000. I can't remember. It turned out real nice, best stuff I ever did with a rattle can. Buffed it with a drill attachment and some Turtle Wax. Mirror shine.

Just about anything should work good for a stompbox.

I do want to sand/polish a bare Hammond box to look like chrome with etched labels one of these days.
