need help with a transistor

Hi again,

I'm after a transistor suitable for the NPN rangemaster (http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album18/DALLAS_RANGEMASTER_NPN_VERO).

Non of the transistors listed on the schem are sold at Maplins www.maplin.co.uk, can some one please tell me the part code for a suitable one.  The reason Im using Maplin is because I can get there tomorrow without waiting a few days to get one from else where, plus I dont need anything else so the postage will be more than the component

I have no experience with maplin as I don't live in the UK. But my guess is that they dont have much to suit your needs in this case.
The easiest way to buy only one germanium npn transistor that is guaranteed to work properly is to buy one from Arons shop here in this forum.
Hi ships really fast ( I've received my orders from him within a week. I live in Norway)
For the shipping cost issue, I'm pretty sure you can find quite a few other handy components to order from him as well.
