Does anyone know where to buy sloped console-like encloses like the one in the link below (preferably available to the UK)?

Cheers

Maplins have them in their catalogue but I've never seen any in the stores I've been in. Another source might be old Tri-ang model railway controllers from the 1960s which are a metal box that shape but have vents in the side to keep the transformer cool. I have seen them at car boot sales for 50p to £1. Iv'e never actually opened one up but the pot might be salvageable and the hole could be used for the stomp switch. Have a look on e-bay. I will have a look in an old catalogue tonight and get the model numbers.

Try "RS components." They have minimum order, but nice console boxes.

Hammond has some enclosures like that. You can order from www.tubetown.de for OK prices.

I don't get any particular bargain where I shop, and the Hammond sloped-front units that will accommodate2 effects in one box don't cost more than $15 Canadian.

Hi Jimmy have you tried Digikey they do sell the sloped hammond cases for about 20quid plus vat just not quite sure how to order them off their site. You haqve to look up the code on the hammond site then product search digikey. I haven't bought anything off them yet so would be interested to hear if you do.

Thanks for the info fellas.  Didn't think to try RS, I'll check them later.  Austin, I've just checked Digikey but with shipping and processing charges, you're talking about $60!

The Maplins cases product numbers are LH65V, LH66W and LH67X. Have a look on their website. The Tri-ang controllers are P4, P5 and P6 and are approximately the same shape as the Snarling Dogs black dog etc. I have seen them for pennies on e-bay but the postage is high as they are quite heavy. Ideal for a valve pedal as they have a 15v transformer built in which could be rectified and stabilised to 12v.

I had to order some bits and pieces from Maplin so I ordered a couple of the LH65V sloped enclosures.  They are a good size, about 10 cm wide, 14cm long and about 5.5cm deep at the widest point (3.5 cm at the narrowest point).  The enclosure is a very light weight plastic and the top is thin aluminium.  Should stand up to a bit of foot pressure but you wouldn't want to jump on them too hard.

Probably of no use to you now I know but thought this might help. I presume its still in the UK your looking. If I find anything else will post when i get chance . Good luck

Try the Hammond site for sloped enclosures they look pretty cool and I'm sure they are tough

Don't know if this helps, but Action Electronics in Santa Monica CA has some very interesting keyboard enclosures that seem perfect for slope front projects. I ordered one this week for an upcoming project:
