My New Pedalboard

This is my new board combining an Axess FX1, two EB pedals (one of them the toneczar which is quite nice), and a Korg DT7 tuner.  But there's a lot more going on that just that.

The three footswitches control, from left to right, the S11 function on the FX1 (tap tempo), tuner select (this routes the audio to the DT7, turn on power to the DT7, and also sends a MIDI CC# message turning on the PODxt tuner, so my signal is muted and I have a tuner in the rack and on the board), and the S12 function on the FX1 (wah).

The pedal on the left is globally set to control the POD's post-pre volume level, though this can be assigned to other duties on a per-preset level.

The pedal on the right is globally set to control the POD's wah, so in conjunction with the wah on/off switch just above it, it works much like a standard wah.  And it can also be assigned to other parameters on a per-preset level.

That's the input and the output and all the MIDI stuff is on the other end:

The rear jacks are, from left to right, MIDI In, MIDI Out, and USB In (see next paragraph), a 5 pin XLR jack for the connection to the rack and phantom for the FX1 (soon to be replaced with a 7 pin jack so I can provide remote power to the tuner - gotta 9v battery inside for now), and the audio out.

Inside the box is a USB to MIDI box with 2 MIDI Ins and 2 MIDI Outs.  One pair is attached to the FX1, giving me in effect a USB connection for the FX1, and the other pair are connected to the rear MIDI In/Out jacks for connections to the rack when I need to edit/backup my rack settings.  I have XLR jacks for this as the Neutrik D Series adapters for a DIN jack sucked, but I realized this after I already drilled out for the D Series connectors.  Oh well, no big deal to use XLR for the MIDI.  Lesson learned.

Looks well cool!  I just dont think I could gig with something that complex, a decent amp and a few choice pedals is enough to contend with at a gig.

That's what I have.  That just turns the pedals on and off remotely for me.  Much less complex than pedals alone, as I don't have to tapdance anymore.

So, it's like a Bob Bradshaw switching system? Cool!  :icon_cool:

LyleCaldwell

Nope, it's based on the Axess FX1, which leaves the Bradshaw stuff in the dust.   :icon_cool:

Clean. I like. I like alot.
Say Lyle, where are you from? The reason I ask is because the Access Electronics dude lives not far from me. I've never met him personally but I did buy one of his earlier buffers. He has some very impressive products and an equally impressive client list too.
Nice set up!

Thanks.  I'm way down here in Memphis.  Mario (the Axess dude) is a great guy.
