200k wah pot for a Jen Wah/Volume mod?

I recently built a wah/volume pedal off the tonepad site for a friend of mine. The problem she came across was that when the pedal was setup for her tastes in treble to bass on the wah side, the volume side did not go completely off. Meaning when the rocker of the volume effect was all the way back the volume was not off it was still on a little.

I have seen that the Dunlop wah/volume pedal uses a 200k pot. Would this help to get the volume all the way off?

The problem with wah/volume pedals can be where the "lower" and
"higher" limit of the pots rotation is set.
The mechanical "toothed" arm has to have some "slack" otherwise you
would be damaging the pot by "over-rotating" with your foot !
So my guess is that your friends pedal is set with just a bit of "slack" on
the lowest setting = the pot is still a bit "open"
Expensive volume pedals have a "tension" string setup and are
adjusted to turn completely off when the heal is right down.
Perhaps you could "taper: the pot to have "zero" volume when its almost
"off"  ?
........ or make a slight adjustment to the pot/arm
Hope this makes sense ?

How about using the LDR/LED configuration? maybe you can set it up to do both jobs at once, im actually gonna get started with that soon
