Which Fuzz option is the most likely to clean up from the guitar volume ?? I've noted over the years that Si fuzzes get very trebly and tinny sounding on clean up from the guitar volume whereas the Ge types are a bit more warm as expected however I tried a McFuzz and it was a hybrid bit like the Easy Face I assume, thing is I probably didn't get enough time with it to really find out what it was all about. I thought initially it was a bit lacking in drive almost similar to the Fulltone 69 but not as weak sounding. I just want something that cleans up from the guitar volume and gives a light to medium overdrive up to a reasonable fuzz, I'm not looking for Purple Haze or anything like the Tonebender capabilities as I want to control it all from the guitar volume, I've tried loads of commercial pedals like the Tweak Fuzz which is Si of course and the Fulltone 70 etc etc I just want a warm and not too overpowering fuzz that will respond to the guitar volume, so any thoughts or ideas Guy's, I suspect hopefully Petemoore  might want to chime in on this one !!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried a RM Axis fuzz? I built one recently and love the way it cleans up. It is pretty fuzzy though, but also quite warm (through my setup anyway) so maybe you could just set the fuzz level to low and then use your guitar volume control? Just a thought.

Hope this helps!
