hi,

i've recently built a Stratoblaster booster using the schematic from http://www.generalguitargadgets.com  The booster sounds wonderful, but it already starts to boost with the volume all the way down and it keeps this level till the last quater of the control travel and then boosts out a lot more. i've used a 100k linear pot, the jfet is a FB245B. Any suggestions for solving the volume-prob?

That's because the pot is really gain, and not volume.  You can easily add a "master" volume to the Stratoblaster though.  I'd go for a 100K audio/log taper.  Wire the effect output to lug 3, lug 2 to the switch (your new effect output) and lug 1 to ground.

Hi,

thanks for your reply, but the master vol. will not be neccessary. I've tried the booster at yersterday's rehearsal an it works just fine as it is.
