IC Swap

I made a DoD 250 + with a JRC4558 IC would it be a safe swap if I put in a NE5532  ??? Also on the schematic for the Ibenez TS-9 there are V bias resistors are these supposed to be grounded ? :icon_redface:

Yeah, you can swap the 4558 for the NE5532.


The vbias resistors are connected to the designated bias point, 4.5v not ground. Look for two resistors one connected to V+ one connected to ground,  where they connect with each other is Vbias, the two resistors are called a voltage divider and are used to get a fake ground reference in a single supply circuit.
