Mojo Myths

Well I'm no expert in electronics at all, but I was thinking about the mojo myths. And they usually involve causing a very small much believed insignifigant homeopathic effect on tone. I had a thought that if you followed a lot of these myths using your sought after tone as a guideline, perhaps these effects would compound and actually alter the sound quite a bit. Another thought against it would be that the pedal can only sound as good as your guitar and more importanly amp/speakers.
