Anybody knows what inside a Palmer PDI-09 or other DI box / speaker sim?

Anybody knows what inside a Palmer PDI-09? I played one and really want to know how it works.

Oh, and what about the insides of the whirlwind mic eliminator? Same sort of pedal (I am just interested).

I already made a H&K redbox and I love to experiment a bit more with these kind of "boxes", I know they are not FX boxes.......
