How do I tell which tabs are + and - on a 1/4" mono jack? HELP!!

I have to wire up two 1/4" mono jacks but I have NO CLUE which terminals are (+) and (-)!!!!! I have a picture, if that helps. PLEASE HELP ME!!! (sorry for the fuzziness. :)

If you have a 1/4" PLUG you can insert it into the jack and check for continuity with your meter.

Pushtone is right. And, you HAVE to do that, because there is no "standard" for socket pins. I found that out the hard way :icon_redface: :icon_mad:
