Pulsar idea

Since i built a John Hollis Frobnicator and dont work well (too noisy) i wonder if i can mod the circuit of EH Pulsar tremolo to a pseudo ring modulator. I dont know at all how work both, but the Pulsar of a friend is a really sweet sounding tremolo.
