There's a 'how to solder' video here, plus much else (electronics books reviews, making split supplies, 'calming down' op amps etc). I must say, it's very relaxing watching somebody else solder.. thanks to Frédéric Piron posting the link on synth-diy list.

Is it just me, or is this guy related to Bob Ross :icon_wink:

that opamp tester looks like a cool thing to have.
Breadboards are as invaluable as underwear - and also need changed... -R.G.

i guess i learned a thing or two.

I'm not as intimidated by surface mount parts anymore at least

Which codec did you guys used to watch the videos?

H.Manback

I watched the .mp4 (mpeg 4) movie, you should be able to open it with a divx or xvid codec.

If VLC can't play it, it's not a video :icon_mrgreen:

VLC is the easiest solution. It has probably almost every codec in existence included with the program, so you don't have to install codecs to play videos.

Thanks a lot. I will do a search for VLC Media Player. I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, but it's a little outdated.

In all fairness, VLC does play everything, but it isn't always the BEST player sometimes.

from my experience, VLC doesn't play some types of WMV3 files (on a mac), but the rest are fine  ;D I think theres a work around/download,but the one i tried wouldn't work :(
