thinking about building the Neovibe.....any caveats?

I've always liked the vibe in Bridge of Sighs (the entire album) along with Diamonds and Debris (the 2nd Cry of Love release) so it was just a question of which vibe to build.  As of now I have chosen the Neovibe just because everyone seems to agree it's the closest match to the original tone.  I have etched the Neovibe PCB and need to check for the touching of adjacent traces since I hear this is a common problem due to the proximity of the traces to each other (GEO project file).  Before, I start my Small Bear / Mouser list, are there any additional parts that I might need that are not on the bill of materials (other than sockets, etc.)?

...any other common problems encountered besides the volume drop?

....Is the difference between the Easyvibe / Neovibe significant enough to justify building one of the most challenging DIY projects ?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

There are many, many threads about Neovibes and various questions on here, a search should turn up a ton of discussion.
I would recommend the "R35 and R36 dry/wet mix mod," and the "max speed mod."  I think these are both covered in the pdf at General Guitar Gadgets.  If not, a search for "Neovibe speed mod" or "Neovibe speed" and "Neovibe mix" should do the trick.
There are also some considerations about the light shield, lamp, etc.
Here are some links to some threads that may or may not be helpful:

But that is only a small selection, so do your own search(es), there is plenty of info!
Good luck, and have fun!

P.S. I wouldn't consider this the "most challenging DIY project."  If I could do it, it can't be that tough.

Thanks Alex....

Most of those I have read.  Sometimes you can get new info by revisiting a topic and that was what I was hoping to achieve.  One additional question I have is that I notice very few mentions of people using a charge pump with the Neovibe.  How did you power yours and at what voltage? 18? 24?  Since the pump worked well for my PT-80, I probably go that route again and make use of my 9V daisy chain rather than adding one more adapter to the mix.

As far as it not being challenging.... that depends on if it works or not ;)  Right now I'm still a bit more lucky than good so we'll see what happens.  The manual part I can handle, I just need to become a bit more adept at the troubleshooting.

Thanks again,

Jason
