Just want to say thanks for this great resource, I've been reading it everyday for the last month. I have just completed my first build using the easy face layout from tonepad and parts from small bear. It worked first go, so I'm both suprised and pleased with that. One thing though - to turn the volume and gain all the way up I have to turn the pots counter clockwise, does this mean I have wired the pots around the wrong way? Should I re-wire them? It still sounds nice, warm and fuzzy but not heaps of gain. Nice and smooth.

I've already ordered parts for 2 big muffs and a foxx Tone Machine, can't wait to build them.

Thanks again,
Matt.

Sounds as though you've wired the pots the wrong way around.

yep. Just switch the wires on the outside lugs of the pots. That will make the pots turn counterclockwise instead of clockwise.

for some reason I wire my pots backwards all the time.  You'd think I would learn.  I'm thinking of just leaving them all and making it sorta my trademark.  " The ass backwards fuzzoblaster"  or something like that.

I just figure out I want ground hooked to 'that side' of the wafer, by turning the knobshaft, and looking at the pot..but then there are those 'differently' wired gain pots..the ones that get 'reversed' wiring treatment.. :icon_wink:..and tone pots  :icon_rolleyes:
