I have attempted to transfer a beginner Fuzz pedal (The Tweak-o from smallbearelec.com) schematic onto breadboard to experiment on but when i built i it didn't work.  This is the first time i have ever done this and am convinced that the fault is in my design.  I have checked all my connections and they all seem fine but i am not getting any output so i must have wired something incorrectlly.  Is there any way i can post my design on here for someone who actually knows what their doing to have a look at it.  I would be most grateful to anyone who could help me out here.

Thanks

lose the bypass switch, wire direct to the input / output on the breadboard.  Then check that the transistor is wired right.  You don't know how many times I've put breadboards together that didn't work, and after I come back to them in a few days I figured out that I've got a wrong wire to a transistor, or somethign stupid.

But don't complicate it right now with all the extra stuff you don't need to make it work, like the bypass and battery switch.  You can always add that later.

Chef

Yeah, I have made my design without the switch and checked the transistor but there are so many other bits that  could be wrong on paper.  I have my design as a JPEG on my computer could i send it to anyone or post it somehow?

Can you take a pic of it?  Take one from above looking down and post it, use Imageshack if you don't have server space for hosting pics.  I'm no expert, I just started this stuff a few weeks back but I've breadboarded this circuit myself and dozens of others, I'm getting good at breadboarding. :icon_razz:  Since no one else offered to help my help would be better then none.

Chef

I have a drawn out plan of it as a JPG which is clearer than a photo of it.  When I click the insert image thing it just does this

what do i do then?

Cheers

Hey there Chef

What you need to do is put your image up on the net somewhere, Photobucket or on someone elses space....
Then you post a reply here and click on the Insert image icon which give you the img/img things...
You type in the link/ web address of your photo and then it will link to your photo when someone clicks on this thread.
If you can host your photo somewhere on the net then you will have to get someone to give you there email address and send it to them and go from there.

It's a little tricky...once you do it once it will make sense. Use the preview button when you try to post the link to make sure you can see everything ok before you post it...

Go here:

http://www.imageshack.us/

Click the "Browse" button and find the pic you are hosting on your harddrive.  Click "Host It."

When the next page opens you'll be presented with a bunch of links to your pic.  Select the text in the line labeled "Hotlink for forums (1)" and copy it then paste it into your post here.  That's it.
