LPB-2 rehousing

So I have this old EH LPB-2 that I´m gonna rehouse into a more neat box. The original box has an on-off switch wich i don´t use since I don´t use batteries. Can I just cut the on-off switch out when rehousing the pedal or is there something I should know about?
